The following information shows typical properties and limits
for our Slitting.
In some cases, it may be possible to extend these limits
depending on type
of steel, gauge, width or other parameters. If you have
any questions,
please consult your Universal Steel representative. We can
review
the situation and determine if your request is possible.

Capacities and Limits
• Coil Capacity: 50,000 lbs. Maximum
• Width *:
16 in. to 72 in.
• Gauge*: 0.0280 to .312 in.
• Inside Entry Coil Diameter: 20 in. to 30 in.
• Outside Entry Coil Diameter: 38 in. to 72 in.
• Inside Recoil Diameter: 20 in. or 24 in.
• Outside Recoil Diameter: 72 in. Maximum
• Slit width (.0280 to .125 in.): 1.5 in. Minimum
• Slit width (> .125 to .250 in.): 2.75 in. Minimum
